Customize/Personalize your proposal

Do not make your proposal generic or something that will be sent to every company, you need to make is specific to the company you want to join your race team.

Interject that particular company’s image, logo, mission statement etc., into your proposal.  Let them know you have done your homework and know a lot about the company and their beliefs.

Show them ideas you have to help them make money with sponsoring your team…if you can expand their business it will help seal the deal.

Branch out and think of different or unique sponsors.  You do not have to go with what everyone else might go for.  Think outside the box and find companies not typical in racing, you may be exactly what they have been looking for.

Always check your spelling, all forms of grammar…never send anything out with errors, it reflects poorly on not just you but your team as well.

Next week:  Do your research
